I have loaded only one bullet for these velocities, I use a barnes Tripple shock 180 grain bullet. At 3500 plus fps the full copper bullet is a no brainer.
I dont target shoot with this rifle. I have only shot one animal with it the bullet workd flawless but i did not find it. A black bear ate one in the front chest and the bullet exited at the rear rib cage, And thats why I use the tripple shock in that rifle, it holds together. Using anything else at this velocity your asking for trouble other than Bonded bullets. I am sure other bonded bullets will work, but why chance it.
At the same velocity a .284 soft point fragmants to almost nothing, and a Nosler Part will loose about 1/3, Trust me! I tried them in my 7 mm Rum 140 gr, but the tripple shocks will pass through anything.
Great bullet for high velocity cartridges and hunting applications.
My rule of thumb unless i am trying something stupid, which i do time to time, and yes its stupid,,
is my 2500-2800 fps stuff i shoot Hornady Sp points ( deer ) and light game
My 2800-3150 stuff a nosler part or a Hdy interbaond Bear moose deer,
any plus 3200 3300 Barned full copper, 90 % retention min they work! any Game
