Hi, This is my first time on CGN. Yesterday I was at a gun show and bought a Remington Model 14 in 30 Remington in good condition for 250$ and got a box of 19 cartridges for 45$. If anyone knows where to get more please let me know and leave a price and quantity. Also, if anyone knows where I can get load data for 30 Remington that would be great.
Thanks.

I've seen boxes of factory ammo in small, old gun shops. Usually dated looking boxes with a good amount of dust on them.
I think I saw some brass some years ago but haven't seen much since. Could try ordering it in at a local gun store but the US manufacturers haven't been selling much brass. Could also try posting a wanted post in the EE.
I've also read that some guys made the brass from 30-30 by turning the rim down and adding a groove of the correct size to the bottom. Of course if you don't have access to a lathe that isn't really an option.

I almost got a rifle of the same model as yours but the deal didn't go through (it was with my uncle, not here on CGN). I remember looking up data for it and ever where I looked said to just use 30-30 data for it.

If you can find .25 Remington or .32 Remington you can neck them up or down to make .30 Remington. Unfortunately .35 Remington, which is a lot easier to find, has a larger case head. 6.8 SPC uses the .30 Rem as a parent case but is much too short to be converted.

I will be the one to dare to disagree with a book.

You can use 30-30 load data in the 30 Rem, as the 30 Rem has slightly more capacity than the 30-30, so the pressure in the 30 Rem would be slightly less, but you tend to seat bullets about 0.025" deeper in the 30 Rem, so it's wash. You do not however, have to use Flat Nose bullets like in the 30-30. I have a Rem Model 14 in 30 Rem (and 25 Rem, 32 Rem, 35 Rem and 44-40, and Rem Model 8's in 30 Rem, 32 Rem and 35 Rem - I was into these big time a few years back!), and have made brass from 30-30, but found some 30 Rem brass some time back and use it now.

I'm sure I could spare 50. ;)

Last Mountain Reloading out of Saskatchewan said he has some .30 Rem ammo. In 150gr & 170gr for $40/box. I found him on Facebook. I just got 4 boxes from another guy for $25/box so I didn't end up going with Last Mountain.
