30 rim fire pricing

30 rim fire is nonexistent. I do know one man has a box of it. As for 32 rim fire you can find it in Ontario at the shows but as far as I now not much elsewhere. You are looking at $3 a shot unless you get lucky. You can also try luck at reloading.
Having said that if you can get them cheap... go for it. I have seen the 32 rim posted at $500. Ridiculous price. Can usually be found from $150-350 unless it's something special like marlin etc. I picked up a beautiful UMC from a collector for $250.
That's .32 rim. As for 30 cal rimfire... it would have to be half that for me to get as it can't be fired.

All correct ^^

However there is lots of information out there on the process for creating reloadable rimfire cases; mainly in .32 but again, the process can be applied to the .30 IF you can find a way of developing/modifying a case to work. A lathe is likely a "must have" on this one. Some good threads in the Blackpowder & Antique forum here - and there is a phenomenal thread on the .32 in CastBoolits, the same fellow also did a bunch of work setting up a .25 Rimfire.

Good luck
