I Bought the 597 last year and really like it. I bought a Voquartsen (spelling?) target hammer for $30 bucks, and man what an amazing improvement. They say it will drop the trigger from 6lbs to 1.5 lbs and I believe it. Mine is a heavy barreled synthetic stock. I like it better than the 10-22 just by the way it feels. I am fairly tall and it fits better. Also be ready for the casings to fly. Man does it ever spit em out! Also the accuracy is good with CCI stingers. Never actually tried match grade stuff.
