Making a deal.on an icon in 30 TC possibly
Anyone know if brass and dies are hard to get?
Gent has 3 boxes of 150gr sst Hornady ammo with it
But I like reloading
Anybody with experience in the caliber??? Or the gun

Thompson Centre proprietary cartridge(it's a .308 with different shoulder angles) developed with Hornady in 2007. Only comes loaded from Hornady in their 'Superformance' brand. Two 150 grain bullets(roughly 2920 fps MV with 2840 ft-lbs.) and a 165 grain load.
Suggest you buy as much brass as you can afford. Marketing departments think nothing of discontinuing stuff with no regard for existing customers. Very likely be special order thing. Very likely that Hornady makes the only dies too. Also very likely be special order thing.
The Hornady loading manual and Nosler's site(pretty decent variety of bullet weights there) for data.

I own an icon in 30tc as well. Got a deal on it, and at the time in 09, the cartridge looked interesting, even promising,....and then it died. Still own it, still love it. Moderate recoil out of a very solid rifle, sub Moa all day in 3 shot groups only.

Factory ammo can still be bought, albeit rare to see on the shelves. Got a bunch on clearance from cabelas, and wholesale sports has it fairly routinely. I've made a habit of buying s box every time I see it, stock piled enough for a few years of hunting.

For reloading, I bought full length sizing hornady dies from Brownells. I'm still looking for neck sizing dies; if you find some post back. Lots of load data available. They used some proprietory powder for factory loads, and at the time, claimed the loads couldn't be duplicated with hand loads. I plan to test this, but as of this date, haven't been able to confirm.

Send a few fired cases to whidden and they will make you dies specific for your gun. I believe lee will also make a custom collet die set too.
