If you have this ammo and also happen to have a 223/5./56 rifle be careful.

The 300 can chamber in a 223/5.56.

Yup. This is the reason why I will NOT have both rounds out at the same time on the bench. It'll be way to easy to accidentally grab a 300BLK loaded mag and try shoot it from your rifle or worse, having a new shooter not knowing the difference and accidentally grabbing that 300BLK mag to shoot out of your 223 rifle. This should be common knowdledge for anyone getting into 300BLK and owning a 223/5.56.

Looks like the head of the case blew out but the barrel didn't kaboom.

I just don't have both types of ammo loaded into mags and on the table at the same time.
Definitely hope I never squeeze a bullet like that.
Is that what you call fire forming bullets? Be cool to be able to shoot projectiles like that, a 155gr 224 three inch long spike might fly a little funny though.

I am the only one who ever loads my mags. All my 5.56 are in 30 round body mags. All my 300 BLK are in 20 round body mags.

One of the few advantages of a forward assist is that you can get the bolt closed when loading .300 in a .223 AR. The rifle will be wrecked, of course, receivers broken.

ALL the guys whinging about shooting .311 in a .308 bore really need to look at this pic. This is a .308 in a .224 bore and the barrel didn't explode. This certainly shows that a few thou smaller bore isn't going to make a gnat's arse hair of a difference

That's a pretty heavy barrel though... I'm sure the pencil barrel on my Benelli MR1 wouldn't have held up as well.
