Does anyone make these anymore? What might be some of the more common rifles you might find used in this caliber?

HI
Browning made them in the late 50 and early 60's, Winchester made them in the Pre 64 series, Remington made them in the model 721 and the model 700 as well,
those are the one's I've seen personally. Some custom guns were made from Mauser 98 and the Enfield P15 and M1917 actions, I use my browning in 300 H&H as my go to for Elk and Moose now, I use 200 gr handloads and it works exceptionally well at all ranges as long as I do my part.

I have a Rem. 721 originally chambered in 300 H&H, rechambered in 300 Weatherby. Also a recent Rem. 700 build with trued action, Hart barrel, B.&C stock. Both these shoot effortlessly and accurate.

I have a Ruger No. 1 in .300 H&H. Bought new in 2012, serial # gives 2011 production. Don't know if they have done one since then.

Of course H&H themselves still makes bolt guns in .300 H&H. I think a bolt gun starts at $30 000 USD from them though.

There are no firearm manufactures who chamber this cartridge in their rifles. One year or another, Winchester may come out with a special addition in the Super Grade or standard Model 70. However for now, a person is on their own to have one built or purchase a previously manufactured/used.

I recently sold a Ruger #1S in the .H&H round; by far my favourite of the several I have owned. Classy rifle, classy cartridge.

I think that Winchester put out a limited 28-inch-barreled run of them recently in the 1885 single shot as well; that would be a sweet gun.

Was at a gun store reciently where someone had their Winchester 300 h&h in for work and was inquiring about price and availability of ammo, don't recall the brands but it was in the $180range for a box of 20. not a plinker for sure.

I just picked up two boxes at ellwood epps. $60 a box not sure where you saw it for $180 but I wouldn't shop there again lol.

I just built one on ruger no 1. It's just being finished at corlanes now. I was going for the stalking rifle look and feel so I had them custom dovetail the quarter rib for necg express folding leaf sight. Should be slick.

Not certain if these are still available but recently the 300 H&H was offered by CZ 550 and Ruger No. 1.

What I do know for certain is the 300 H&H is one helva fine cartridge. I've owned a pre-64 M70 for quite few years and I absolutely love that gun. Out of 15 pre-64 M70`s the 300 H&H is my favorite and that includes a 300 WM. (1963)

The 300 H&H is the old long magnum necked down from the 375 H&H and can be a real performer. It`ll duplicate my 300 WM with less powder. That long tapered case slips through that gun like hot knife though butter.
