Hi All

Does anyone have any favorite loads for this calibre?
I have just purchased one and would like some loads for 180 gr and 168gr bullets . I haven't bought any 150 gr as yet , but I might have to. Hodgdons ,Nosler and Speer did have some info ,but not much.

Hi, I have some good load with this caliber... But I prefer heavy for caliber bullet... For now, I'm shooting a 200gr Accubond at 2815 fps... I have a 22 inch barrel...

Here is the load...

Nosler 200gr Accubond
COL: 2.845 (Higher velocity and precision than with the standard 2.825)
60gr IMR 4350
WLRM Primer
Average fps from Chrony: 2815,33 fps

For the 180gr, I tried the barnes MRX, here is a very good load with this bullet, but the ammo don't enter the magazine, you must shoot shot by shot... Just play a little with COL and you will be fine:

Barnes MRX 180gr
59,56gr H414
CCI BR2 Primer (could use WLRM or other magnum primer, you should be able to get a little more velocity, but start with a smaller load)
COL: 2.868
Average fps from Chrony: 2873 fps

Another good load with this bullet:
Barnes MRX 180gr
64gr Vihtavuory N160
CCI BR2 (Again you can use magnum primer, I didn't had them at this time, now I only use magnum primer with better result)
COL: 2.832
Average fps from Chrony: 2910.5 fps

I feed mine 64 grains of hodgens 414 topped with a 150 grain barnse tsx and set off with a cci 250 primer and my ltr loves it. It will print perfect clover leafs all day long and it still amazes me how much better I shoot when I know the bullet is gonna go exactly where I aim.

that would be a good choice in a 300 Ultra Mag but not the compact 300SAUM, its case capacity is more between a 30-06 & 300 Win Mag. 4350 powders, 4831, RL17, Rl19, W760, H414 would be optimum

Yes I do have some of those powders, H-4350, H-4831, AA -4350, IMR -7828. I would like to try Imr 4064 and H-414 ,but where do I stop at buying powders . There are about 11 different ones in my cabinet now, for all my rifles.

Thanks to all who replied . I think I will try H4350 as that one is in my cabinet at the moment. If that doesn't work out .I guess more powder will have to be purchased. My dies and brass will be here by the weekend.

Thanks again and Straight Shooting
