IMR 4064 and Hornady SP 165's in my Rem 760 pump... (Load data for the 300 Savage varies wildly, the 4064 seems to wring the most velocity out for 150 to 165 grainers.)

In my Savage 99, my most accurate load was a M80 pull down bullet- 150 grain FMJ, with 40.0 grains of IMR4895, Winchester large primer with a COL of 2.585. Average speed was 2632 and very tight groups.

I have a Remington 700 "Classic" chambered in 300 Savage. This rifle is uncommonly accurate for an unmolested factory rifle.
Pet load is: C.I.L. "Dominion" case [most capacity of any 300 Savage case], CCI 200, 46 grains of Reloder 15, 150 Partition.
This yields 2860 fps and groups in the .4 moa area. Kills very well, indeed. Dave.

If canada post ever stops holding my new trimmer hostge I am going to work up a 165gr load for an old m99 using Imperial brass with either Accubonds or Partitions, whichever it likes better. I might also spin up a 150gr Nosler E-Tip load in Metallverken brass for that gun so I can hunt blacktails on Haida Gwaii guilt free. The eagles take some pretty serious damage from lead poisoning over there and I'm not keen to contribute to that.
