Of those two, I prefer 9.3x62.

Of the two, I would choose the 300 only for the benefits of reach over longer than normal hunting distances. The 300 is a 30-06 with more recoil.

Otherwise, my 270, 308, 30-06, 7RM, or my 35. All will drop an elk in its tracks.
