Anyone with the latest Hornady Ed that can share the load info for 180gr Interlock SP?

I’m seeing/hearing through my research that Weatherbys in 300Wby prefer flat based projectiles, so was thinking Interlocks, Grand Slam, Hot-Cores etc initially, but I’m open to Barnes TSX/TTSX, Nos Partitions as well.

You bet:

When I started reloading in 1982, I wish that I had load data on the tips of my fingers as there is today.

I’ve had a few 300 ‘bees. Never had one that would shoot a boat tail yet; except for the TSX. Those actually shoot quite well with the free-bore although I’d rather throw rocks. The Interlocks and partitions are routinely good; which I guess isn’t that surprising considering they were the only bullets loaded in the factory ammo for decades. Swift A Frames have worked well if you like crazy penetration that still hits pretty hard.

7828 is as good as anything, better than most.

I’m hearing and have been given load data for IMR 4350, H4831SC and US 869 (?) as well. So, lots to choose from, I’ll add your recommendation to the list. Cheers

I never knew 300 Weatherby's are known to dislike boat tail bullets. By what Dogleg says I assume the long freebore Weatherby was known for is suspected to be the cause?

I've read similar anecdotes. I know the two 300 bee's I've owned didn't care for them. 200 gr partitions seem to group and work best, in mine. 180 gr same are a little faster. I have some 180 gr accubonds loaded up but haven't tested them out yet. - dan
