300 Weatherby Mag Load recipe

I use Nosler 200 gr partitions in Wby brass over RL22 or 25 in mine. Works quite well, over 3000 fps and moa if I grit my teeth aand do it right. The rilfe is an early German Mk V with the long freebore. - dan
You must work up the load for your rifle. There's lots of data on Hodgdon's site. Epp's lists brass. Uses a #4 RCBS shell holder.
Max given on Alliant's site for RL-22 is 78.5 grains. Reduce by 10% and work up.

I'm afraid I don't recall off the top of my head, and I'm in Africa at the moment, so I have no access to my load books. After a while you just learn to PM dan belisle if you need load info for anything that's Ackley or "Over-Bore".He just travels too darn much. Bring your load books with you dan, it's inconvenient for us!

I currently have a M70 in the same caliber and hope to get some chrono results soon. I would suggest trying some 180 or 200 Accubond. They are good bullets and more up to the impact velocities of the speedy Wby.
