I have an original WB 300 Mag and want to load up a good flat shooting accurate load anyone have a few good starting recipies for me to begin my load development?

Dan, what was your grain amount using the RL22?

I'm afraid I don't recall off the top of my head, and I'm in Africa at the moment, so I have no access to my load books. I really need to build a database with all that info in it to take with me when I travel. I'll be home in a couple more weeks if you would like to PM me around then for the info. - dan

After a while you just learn to PM dan belisle if you need load info for anything that's Ackley or "Over-Bore". :D He just travels too darn much. Bring your load books with you dan, it's inconvenient for us!

180gr Horn SP
RL22 85.0grs
Wby case
Fed#215
3.560" OAL
3233fps

This is from a Mk V with a 26" barrel. Drop 10% to start and work up.

LOL, mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa. I promise to build an Excel spread sheet next time I'm home, just for these situations. - dan:)

Deadly.... thanks for the detailed load. I will give er a whirl. Remembering to reduce 10% first then working up. Nice numbers on the fps scale.

Dan,, You should be enjoying your trip, not returning emails.. Gunnutz you.:p

180 gr accubond
cci large rifle magnum primer
80 gr H4831sc
This is a great combo in my buddies model 70.I worked this load up for him and it produced sub-moa groups for him.

Glad to help.

I currently have a M70 in the same caliber and hope to get some chrono results soon. I would suggest trying some 180 or 200 Accubond. They are good bullets and more up to the impact velocities of the speedy Wby.
