Just wondering if anyone has a load for the 150g Hornady INterbond Bullets for a 300 Winchester Magnum?
Thanks in advance for any info

why waste all the capacity and potential that a 300 Win Mag has by handicapping it with a light-for-caliber bullet??

If I owned a 300 Win Mag, I'd feed it 168 gr Barnes TSX at a low end weight, and/or a 180 gr Nosler Accubond...

150's shed speed faster due to their lower BC, and penetrate less due to their high impact speeds and low SD.

Better off saving the 150s for a 300 Savage or 308 Winchester. :)

Agreed - why 150's? I'd go 180s and 200s in the WM

I'd expect the 150's to be somewhat frangible at those speeds anyway

I will more than likely be shooting 300+ yards, so I expect that the 150's will hold together. They are a bonded bullet and I have had good luck with them in other rifles. I am sure someone mut be shooting them??????

try a 165 or 180 gr Interbond

higher BC, drift less in the wind (which is harder to compensate for than a few more inches of bullet drop!)

I shot the 300 for 20 + years and found that the 150's of various manufacture were bombs when you hit something up close. It performs best with the 190 or 200 grain class of projectile. That's why a person usually gets a overbore cartridge, to throw heavy for caliber bullets further and faster with a great deal more energy. Both H 4831 and IMR 4831 gave outstanding results.
