300 win mag, 180gr accubonds - favourite powder?

First time loading a 300wm, and was wondering what everybody's favourite powder was for a 180gr bullet.

I'm leaning towards RL22 but thought I would see what the consensus is.

I have tried about 4 different powders including RL22 for the 300 win and 180gr bullets , and i settled with IMR 7828, good velocity and excellent accuracy.

Rl 22, h4831 and imr 7828 all work for me in that order of preference with all 180 and heavier bullets . Accubond s shoot great in my 300 as well

Yes Pretty hard to get much better than these three.

It was the first cartridge I reloaded, and wasn't even my rifle...... by it was accurate enough (sub moa), to get me hooked..... I used rl19......

I always start with H1000, and usually end there too.

H1000 actually got its name from being Hodgdons 1000 yard powder for
the .300. Honest.

I tried IMR 7828 when it first hit Canada, and got phenomenal velocities and accuracy with this combo.......I have used it in three different 300s with 180s and all performed the same......... I don't think I tried H1000 so I can't comment on it, but I do trust Dogleg's experience.

RL22 has always worked well for me. Would like to try IMR7828ssc but may or may not get around to it.

My go-to powder for the Rem700 300WM is H4831SC. Always thought about trying something else but still have about 4 pounds left. Hmm, 300WM, I should start looking. That won't last long.

I'm using h1000 with the 180 gr accubond and ballistic tip. This was advice from dogleg on an earlier thread. I do notice that 1lb of powder doesn't last too long in the 300 though.
