After lots of reading i decided to try and reload this load. Starting load Hodgdon Hybrid 100v 61 gr 200 gr nosler partition vel.2636. The max load listed is 66 gr hybrid 100v vel 2820 200gr nosler partition. I will start at the min load and work from there watching for signs of excessive pressure. Since i dont have a chronograph yet i will watch the primers and the cases closely. I will be loading once fired win xp3 nickel cases. Any comments or suggestion/concerns are appreciated since im a rookie. One other question i have is i see there are loads for the 300 win mag with lighter bullets 110 gr 125 gr. I read that these cartidges would have a real stout recoil has anybody tried any light bullet loads and is there any difference in recoil?

Thanks :)

Reloading & Chronograph

The best advice to someone starting out with this hobby is (buy a chronograph) without it you are guessing. They're not bullet proof so be careful, they come close to completing the picture and answering your questions.

I've loaded some 110gr Vmax in the 300WM in the past. Kind of a novelty. The only thing I could determine them being good for is vaporizing pop bottles filled with water. Lightly loaded they might be OK for plinking, loaded to hot levels, I don't imagine a steady diet of them would be too healthy for a barrel......

Starting off with lightly loaded hunting weight bullets would be far more benificial, IMHO.
