.300 wsm accubond

just doing some new loads for a 300wsm vanguard. I was shooting 175 berger vld at a COL of 2.860", i am now trying to load 165 accubonds and it seems like the bolt is a little tighter when i am trying to close and open it.I am just trying to find a good length, but even well under the min COL (2.760") it seems like the bolt is tighter, any suggestions?

Is your brass new or did you buy once fired from another rifle? You will probably have to bump the shoulder farther, its common with the WSMs.

i am fairly new to reloading, it is once fired brass from the first time i went out, what do you mean when you say over cam?

Bring the ram of your press up with shell holder, set your die until it touches the shell holder then go an extra 1/2 turn, then resize and try your shell, see how your bolt closes if its still tight go a full turn.

i didnt even notice who was commenting, its actually out of the vanguard i bought from you, what did you have good luck with in it?

It shot 3/4 moa with 165 and 168 tsx and the same with 160 Accubond and 165 Partitions.I always got my best results with IMR 4350.

My son purchased some Winchester cartridges for his 300 WSM and kept the brass. I reloaded them and noticed that the bolt was a little stiff when closing. Measured the cases and they needed to be trimmed.
