I'm just getting ready to reload my newly built 300 WSM for moose hunting application. I have a model 10 Savage on which I fitted a 24" 300 WSM 1:10 twist barrel. The powder I will be using is Hogdon powder as I have most type in stock (Retumbo, H1000, 4895, 4831SC, 414, 4850). For primers I have in stock Federal Large Magnum Match primers, CCI BR Primers, standard Winchester Large and Magum primers. For brass, I have Norma; the best quality ones sold in box of 25. My bullet choice is Nosler Accubond in weights of 180, 200 or in the LR series 190 and 210 grains. I need to load to max. COAL to fit my magazine. I'm more interested in accuracy than velocity. I'd tike to know your load. Thanks, FRED.

My 300WSM best load to date occured with R-17 65 gr, Accubond 180 gr, BR2, OAL 2,865, Remington cases, this load over the Oehler velocity is 3040 fps SD 6 and ES 12, this load out of my FNH Tactical 300WSM is a regular .7 up to 400 metres, at 500 metres, blame it on me it shooted 1.25 MOA, in my rifle ( and many more ) R-17 is the powder of choice, you should start lower if you want to try it this is fairly hot load but also the most accurate i did found yet, and i bought a pack of 500 ogives of Accubonds 180 gr from a fellow shooter ( he went 7mm) at the range for next to nothing ( 120.00 ) ... JP.
