Hi folks so I'm new to reloading the 300blk so bare with me
My 150gr hornady FMJ-BT arrived today. I have my prepped and primed cases. I'm using H110 and info from my hornady book.

Well they state a coal of 2.220" that seats my bullet just past the boat tail. Hardly sufficient for a auto loader.

I check sierra and their 150 fmj is more like 2.150 or something like that.

So what gives? Online guys are loading at 2.06 or so. I loaded myou starting load using 14gr H110 @ 2.095

I've been running 15.5gr H110 with a 150gr FMJBT at 2.2". I was going to seat deeper but I was getting pretty good accuracy from these so I left it at 2.2"

I'll try to remember to check my log book when I get home Friday, I'm in Calgary for a couple days so can't check now.
The cannelure was still visible is all I can remember. I use a factory crimp die with all the loads I build for the semi's but don't usually use it with the loads for my bolt gun.

Are you running these in a autoloader though?

Cr5 im interested in seeing your load data.

I'm loading mine now at 2.095 or 1.509 using the comparator. Started at 14gr going up .3 to just elbow max of 15.9

This is the only load that I can help with:
.300 BLK using converted .223 Remington cases trimmed to 1.365"
COL: 2.050"
Hornady 110 gr V-MAX (#23010)
Remington 6 1/2 Primer
19.6 gr Hodgdon H110
Moderate crimp using Lee Factory Crimp Die
~2,370 fps

This recipe runs flawlessly in my Robinson XCR-L but is fairly hot - use with caution! No misfeeds etc. in 700 rounds...

My first 300BLK liked 19.4gr under the 110 V-max with no crimp. When I bought the factory crimp die I set it to 1/2 turn past contact with shell holder. Accuracy got a little worse but I felt better knowing there was a crimp when those short bullets were hitting the feed ramps.

I feel the same way as you do about the potential feed issue, thus the factory crimp. I will try backing off to 19.4 gr of H110 and checking the results.

Now, to find some H110 without having to pay shipping and HazMat fees ;)

I use 20gr of H110 for 110gr vmax bullet. coal 2.065

These are at 50 yards,

110gr sierra bullets, H110 powder, load data and shooting at 11.20 onwards.

Grouseriver has H110 powder in stock.

What barrel lengths and gas systems are you guys running?
I'm in the market for my first 300blk barrel.
I need a minimum 16' so it can go stateside.

Here are the lengths I load to with various projectiles. Many are the same as what's published in my manuals. I usually start at the bullet manufacturers suggested COL. Once I find a good load sometimes I'll tweak the seating depth and see if any improvements can be had.
I have a load using Lil'gun and another with A1680 under a 155A-max at this COL that shoot sub moa in two of my rifles so no changes will be made to that one :)

Hornady110gr V-max COL 2.05"
Hornady 125gr SST COL 2.1"
Nosler 125gr Ballistic Tip Hunting COL 2.06"
Hornady 150gr SST COL 2.22"
Hornady 155gr A-max COL 2.204"
Hornady 168gr BTHP COL 2.215"
Hornady 208gr BTHP COL 2.25"
Pulled bullets from 144gr M25 tracer (30-06) COL 2.18"
