i cannot find any info on how much powder to use to shoot 200gr barnes tsx out of my 300rum i use rl25 powder so if any one has tried this combo please let me know. i would like to know the min and max amounts u can use.
i have like 5 books and all of them jump from 190gr to 220gr
thanx mutt-roc

Alliant shows 91.5 grs RL25 as max with the 200 grain Swift A-Frame (3020 fps)

Hodgdon shows 92.5 grains H1000 as max with a 200 grain Nosler Accubond (2975 fps). H1000 is a tad faster burning than RL25 so in theory you could exceed this charge if using RL25, but start low and work up slowly. Use a chronograph if you can, they sure help. Look for about 3050-3100 fps with a 26" barrel and 200 grain bullet for a safe max load with the slow burning powders

This info comes from the Barnes Reloading manual #4
its on their website and if you join the copper club you can get the info as it comes out hope this helps you out
200 grn barnes TSX FB
primer used was a Fed GM215M
barrel length used was 24"

trim length 2.840"
starting load
RL 25- 79.0 grns = 2768 fps
max load
RL 25- 88.0 grns = 2981 fps with a load density of 90%

the fastest max load is magnum powder with 97.0 grns = 3051 fps load density of 92% and
also US869 with 104.0 grns = 3051 load density of 97%
