Just acquired an odds and ends carton of cartridges, mostly .303. Catalogued it, and there are 78 different headstamps. Earliest is a Cdn Mk.VI dated 1906, latest is a Radway Green Mk. 7 1956. Most is Mk. VII ball, a few Mk. VIIIZ, some W. A few DI 42 45AC, which would have been primarily made for Thompson and Reising guns.

Was the Reising in Canadian service in WW2? I have never seen any pics of our troops using the Reising.

The Reising was in service with the Cdn Militia in Canada during WWII. Examined one with the C^ stamped on receiver and butt. Was at an Ancaster show with a WWII vet about 1990 when the CAs were for sale and when he saw a Reising he knew exactly what it was and how to operate it because he had been issued one in the Militia.

I've seen one C/l\ marked Reising. In the recently published official history of the Connaught Ranges there is a photo of Reisings being fired there.

What a lucky man you are! It took me many years to find some of these, notably the Government Factory Number 3! Some of those 1920s and early 1930s are scarce, look real nice in a display.
