.303 British FMJ

Whats the verdict on the S&B .303? does the 180g bullet make a good target load?

On a related subject, why is it so hard to get a consistent supply of Privi and S&B ammo in? Granted its a lot more common then when I first started shooting about 4 years ago, but is their a reason the stock is always hot or miss?

I have not tried either brand, but From What I understand both S&B and Privi are top notch brands with nice brass as well, and I would like to pick up a few boxes of each in various calibers to try.
 
Slightly off topic but does anyone know off hand what bullet diameter is on the Prvi and S&B bullets? Tradeex doesn't list the size.

The only FMJ bullets I can find are the Remington which I don't know the diameter on but tumble every shot in my No.1 and the Hornady ones which are .3105" which is undersized for my bore (about 7 in 10 tumble).

Not sure where you are in ON, but last time I was in Fishing World in Hamilton, they has several bulk cases of that S&B .303 ammo. Not sure if they had individual boxes though. I've not shot it, so I have no comment or opinion on it.
 
For me the only viable option was to start reloading for .303

I have a full on bench press but for .303 I use the old school lee classic loader that you operate with a rubber mallet haha very cheap and very fun I highly suggest it. Very accurate as well compared to anything I've been able to buy including S&B
