I'm in cape breton, nova scotia. My local canadian tire is very anti firearm and rarely ever stock their ammo. When they do, and you buy some they more or less treat you like a criminal when you ask to have the cabinet open, but thats another story. Unable to find any .303 british. Walmart doesnt restock ammo here either and of the two local small gunshops, none have any. Its a bit steep to buy online. Whats with all this ammo bull####? Is there really that much of a shortage or are they just not producing it as much? Very frustrating.

been going on for awhile now - powders, primers etc are hard to come by for reloaders. If it's any consolation I bought 40 rounds of Weatherby 240 wby for $151.25 a couple weeks ago. Just saying...

Not too bad. I bought 10 norma 500 jeffery rounds for 245$ and also bought 20 weatherby 460 weatherby rounds for 220$

1st - I'd not be buying from a anti-gun business of any kind
2nd - I'd be going to the local gun shops first, unless there anti-gun as well ; )
The local place would surely order some this time of year?

Since 303 ammo has not been loaded in Canada in a very long time, almost all 303 ammo is coming from the States or Europe.
Manufacturers in the States are concentrated on making more common ammo to satisfy domestic demand and European companies are struggling to pick up the slack.

He can order through his local gun shop, but might be waiting a very long time.

They can order as much as they want, but they will be lucky to get it, if the distributor didn't restock.

We're lucky, a couple of local gun shops, one in particular is very well stocked.

The local CT is very firearms friendly with good folks behind the counter and managing.

They often have hard to find ammo/components but I've noticed a lot of empty spaces lately.

Even the owner of the well stocked shop is starting to worry about the availability of some items.

If you can find it PPU 303 is the way to go but shipping out of Ont and the west is the killer. Have started to reload mine but now finding the bullets are impossible to find as the guy I was getting them from in BC is now out. Powder and primers can still be had but then again shipping kills you as the only company that ships is UPS. Good luck on your quest.

Budget Shooting Supply still has Speer Hot Cores in stock.
