I fired a 150 grain Hornady into a wet block of fir, the bullet went through the bark and about 8 inches in across the grain. I fired from about 15 feet away and wanted to see how the Hornady's stand up to close range shots.
It was still in one piece and weighed 150 going in and 136.6 after I carefully dug it out.
