303 cartridges identification

Last weekend a friend give me some 303 cartridges, he really don't know where it came from.....maybe from a parents. One old box maked Acme surplus sales Ltd, Willowdale,Ontario. For sure it's military cartridges. Maked on the bottom of each cartridge,
303 MK8Z PP-73
If you can help concerning the id i appreciated before i put in my old Lee Enfield.
