Is there a special tool for adusting the front dove tailed sight on this gun?
Oooor do you just tap it left or right with a brass punch?:pirate:

"...whats wrong with tapping?..." Nothing. It's just not as precise. It's easy to tap a bit too far.
Remember that the front sight gets moved in the opposite direction you want the POI to go.

The Lee Enfield #4 Mk1 point of impact is raised or lowered by exchanging the front sight.Available front sights for the #4 are as follows;

Never, ever use a drift punch to remove the front sight!! The proper front sight tool is more efficient and can be manufactured out of an old screwdriver. The front sight is held in place by a screw.

On my No. 4 it is held on by a screw, you unloosen the screw and then you can drift the site left or right. The screw itself is the negative of a normal screw so instead of a slot cut into the screw like a normal standard " slot blade" it is the reverse so all you have is the blade sticking out. All I did was take a cheap broken ended screw driver and cut the end off and with my dremel tool cut a slot down the middle of it that is the correct size for the sight screw, easy as pie.

I am using screwdriver, not very precise of course and it is easy to overshoot. I never knew there are different front sites for different elevation. One fella told me he used to either file front pin or built it up with silver solder and file it down to size. I myself just got used to whatever elevation is there.
