im looking at using my full wood endfield this year to hunt deer .So what would you use on deer im looking for a good 303 round

Anything in 150 -180 grain commercial soft points will be plenty for deer. Depending on your area, many stores will stock a variety of .303 rounds for hunting.

I have used Federal with 150 and 180 grain spitzers and Remington Express with 180gr. CoreLokts and they have all done just what they should. I am sure the Winchester factory ammo will be just as good. Start with a box of whichever of those you best like the sound of and try it out. If the accuracy isn't satisfactory the others in turn until you are happy. Get into to reloading if you are going to shoot .303British a lot, it will bring the cost down significantly and you can work up a load that your rifle really likes.

The Federal 150 grain soft point is a very good load. This load is what I've used for the last couple of years on deer and moose.

The Remington 180 grain CoreLokts are the most accurate in my rifle (a ruger #1).

thanks for the info guys

Different types of bullets, bullet weights and even brands may shoot quite differently in your rifle. So you may have to try a couple different combinations to find what shoots to your satisfaction in that gun. Then stick with it for your hunting.

Good luck hunting with a Canadian (British Empire) classic military and hunting round.
