I posted a while back regarding a 303 that I had gone hunting with on more than one occasion with it suddenly ejecting the magazine after firing and the bolt not able to retract ( could not even budge ). The headspace was checked - all ok. Turns out that one of the bullets I dropped in the field ( and what I thought I thoroughly cleaned but in actuality still had dirt around bullet rim ). Well once dirt on bullet was fired and compressed at 40000 psi , it left marks in bore like as if some had taken screwdriver to it. Gunsmith sanded out the bore a bit and this helped bolt to go in/out like new after firing. Magazine just needed to be adjusted .Expensive lesson learned.
