Had a complete receiver for a M/H enfield that was horribly pitted so no harm no foul .Filed till almost no pits left ,new chrome molly 26" barrel tally base/mounts older weaver 4X scope Boyds carved unfinished t/h blank .Just got back from bluing .Nice balance and fits great .
Just something different Cheers Peter

That is nice. Do you find the scope interferes with ejecting / loading?
One of my "Neat" features with my M-H 303 is dropping the lever with R-hand and reaching up to pluck the ejected empty out of the air.
But mine is a beat to sh*t truck gun. Came like that, just haven't got it cleaned up yet.
I should be taking notes from you, very nice rifle.

Before finishing the project I did some testing to see how It shot. With Irons was 3 inch group at 100 y . When I scoped it it shrunk to just under 1.5 inches with winchester 180 gr .When I had the high rings on it was ejecting with the scope no issues ,but closer 50 y I was hitting under target .Med rings is better and to eject turn rifle to right 30* and no issues.

I will re sight it later as my local gun shop has no stock on ammo at this time and I don't feel like loading currently busy with a few more projects that I want to finish
cheers Peter

love the M_H and in 303 it is very handy. I sold my carbine as I was not shooting it & it should be used. At 100 with the military sight it shot quite high. I wanted to try 200 gr to see if that helped. At about 2 to 2 1/2 in. at 100 it would be great for hunting. I have wanted to harvest a deer with the old Martini but never got there. I still have a good 577-450 so maybe :) Thanks for the reminder & nice rifle!
