303 Proof rounds

I found two of these in amongst some old 303 in a box of WW1 and WW2 ammo I picked up awhile ago. With the copper coloured case I had previously thought over seas production but head stamp is Canadian. Clearly marked as proof rounds.

Never seen those before. Probably worth a few bucks to a Lee Enfield collector.

I was thinking they should be worth a bit. I have heard of them but never seen any until these two.

I have five of the Canadian variations so far and they have cost about 7.50 each.

As an aside, most of the proof cartridges have the letter "Q" in the head stamp ie: DAC 1942 Q IV

They would only blow up a FAULTY FIREARM.

We found an expended proof casing in a mountain of Bren chests I purchased a while back. Funny thing was the firing pin indent was not for a Bren.
