3030 170gr Partition

I doubt you would see any difference. The .30-30 doesn't generate enough speed to warrant a premium bullet.

I picked some up cheap at a gun show, and they shot well, but I can't justify to myself the extra cost compared to a basic cup & core. I have a little bit of everything on my shelves; hornady, Winchester Silvertips, Core-Lokts, CIL, but if I had to settle on one bullet it would be the Sierra 170 gr FP. It just shoots so damn well.

When I see bullets like a 170 gr partition for the 30–30, I am sure that Nosler does that just so they have a complete lineup and provide a bullet for everybody who wants to walk and buy bullets. At 30-30 velocities I am very sure that you would not see any difference with that or the bullet that you mentioned.
