Okay, I know, I know.... It ain't cheap, and it ain't easy to find in quantity.

Those points aside, I find the Remington UMC 174gr FMJ to be the best modern "copy" of the milsurp .303BRIT load, as I am not logistically set up to reload this cartridge right now.

Can anyone recommend a source for this ammo by the case/half case, and approximate cost these days?

SIR?

Thanks in advance,

Neal

Lever Arms has it for $172.00 for 200 rds. or $785.00 for 1000 rds.

200 rds is $17.20 a box.

1000 rds is $15.70 a box.

If you want to split a case of 1000 with me let me know. Our cost would be $392.50 each plus tax.

Cheers!:)

damn that's expensive! Reload!

I know......it pisses me off!

I'm not set to reload either right now and I need some ammo for a Long Branch I acquired a few months ago. I also need some 7.92x57mm too for my Yugo M48's!

I just wish they were all chambered in 7.62x51mm!:)

MapleSugar:

Thanks for the numbers, and the offer of splitting a case.... I am hoping that somehow, somewhere, I might be able to find .303 for less than 80 cents a round, but if I have no luck.... I'll have my people call yours!

Cheers,

Neal

Calum;

Sierra has a 174 gr. HPBT, but I doubt that is what you want.

On the Midway webpage I found a Hornady FMJ/BT that would probably suit your purpose.

Hope this helps!:)
