Given the state of the world I can't seem to find .308" 110 gn bullets to load some .30 Carbine but I did come across some .307" 110 gn diameter bullets from PPU at my LGS.

I've read varying thoughts on other forums about using .307" bullets in .30 Carbine but I'll bring it to the hive mind here: Has anyone actually used these bullets in .30 Carbine loads, has more than conjecture behind them, and what were the results? Reduced accuracy? Poor neck tension? Dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria?

Can't see it making any difference........a lot of of 7.62x54R pulled bullets are .308 not .310-.312 and get MOA or better in a bolt action.

Have you tried a search of 110 gr Carbine bullets that are plated? That is what I use in my Carbines and in my Tok pistols. They work very well in both.

The 307s should work well. Lots of IVI 7.62 ammo was loaded with 307 bullets.

Not that it's indicative of much, but I did spend the morning reloading some .30 Carbine to stockpile that calibre to enjoy the rifle before Daddy takes it away from me. I used the .307" bullets and seemed to get good neck tension out of them (yes, I know, it's only a thousandth of an inch difference). True test will be to shoot them, of course.

Oh, and after I was done reloading I went back to the LGS to pick up that last bag of .307" 110 gn and discovered that they got a shipment of Hornady bullets after I left the store yesterday. A shipment which contained .308" 110gn .30 bullets. Out of spite I stuck with the .307" bullets...besides, they were $10 cheaper than the Hornadys.
