I was thinking of trying to to use a ballistic tip in my 307 win to improve the accuracy but am worried about the tip setting off the next round in the tube mag in this lever gun. Anyone try this? Ideas comments. Not shure if the ballistic tip is harder than lead in a PSP.

If your going to use pointed bullets check out the Hornady Flex Tips. They are made for tube magazines. Come in two weights 140 and 160. Any other pointed bullets can be used if loaded in the chamber only. Hornady 170 gr fp group 11/2 off the bench at 100 m and about 2 inches at 200 meters. The accuracy of the 140 gr flex tip is almost as good as the 170 fp. I find the 170 fp works very well so that’s the load I continue to use. Very effective on deer.
