Hello,
I have been using Winchester Powermax (.308/150gr) for deer lately, but when sighting in my Tikka, I got a couple flyers. Just out of curosity, I have been looking for another factory round that shoots as flat as the Powermax. Everything I have found(Remmington, Federal, Winchester) all have almost double the drop at 200yards the Powermax has. Am I missing a factory ammo that shoots flat?

Thanks,
Jesse

At 200 yards you shouldn't be worry about drop if you are hunting deer.

Sight in at 1.5" high at 100, they you are good to go on deer out to 230-250ish , put cross hairs on center of deer, call the butcher.

Now if you are shooting baby aspirin, I would get into premium ammo or handloads. :p

I have tried a number of different offerings from different ammo companies and so far I've found Hornday to be the brand for my '06. It's been very consistent and accurate for me. I like the 150gr Hornady Interbond best.

Hornady Superformance 165 gr SST at 2850 fps are incredibly accurate out of all my 308 and you can't even match that velocity reloading ( propriarity powder ), best commercial ammo for your dollar out there... JP.
