.308 ammo in a norc m305

My barrel says 308 win but the manual says 7.62 nato. Will it be safe to fire 308 win in my rifle or should i find 7.62x51 (which i am having a hard time finding). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Shoot .308 and don't worry about it. Lots of us here do it all the time, including me with .308 hand loads.

Stamped 308 on the side. Have shot both and no problems.
