To be fair Federal Blue box is almost $1.50 a round right now. The Canadian economy is tanking and this is just something we have to deal with, ammunition is going up everywhere. I would strongly bet that if you bought all the components yourself you could not make the same round for less than $.70. They have to make a profit somewhere...

Crunch the numbers.

The cost to assemble now is tough.
$45/100 projectiles ($.37 for these FMJ's if you can find them, and buy in bulk)
$45/153 powder charges @ 45.5gr H4895.
$.05/primer.

Guys are selling 1f brass 308 for .25c/ea

It would seem to me the 30calibre days are heading in the same direction as V8,V10 land monster trucks. Which is a shame.

"Stupid question . Do I need large rifle primers for .308 win?"

mmmnkay.

I'd love to know your suppliers via pm.
I do a lot of research and searching for components. Maybe 2yrs.+ ago. But buying components right now....?
If your comparing no brass included, and components found second hand or through friends that's no apples to apples comparison.
The $1/ea is a hard pill to swallow sure for a quick bang. But if the going price is more than that on average then its competitive no?
I'm happy they offer it for those who are looking for more options. Thanks Western Metal.
