Good afternoon guys

I have a Browning x-bolt medallion on its way, chambered in .308.

In the meantime, I’ll be putting together a couple load developments for it, over the next few days.

I have a pile of Varget, so I’ll likely try to load with that. I’m hoping to shoot 165gr Nosler BTs, but was wondering what other guys are getting good results with?

According to the Browning website, the barrel is a 1/12” twist, so I’m guessing it’ll prefer lighter bullets. This rifle will mainly be for whitetail hunting, so lighter end .308 bullets isn’t a big deal.

Let me know if you have any recommendations.

Thank you!

My .308 Mossberg with 1/10" twist likes 168gr Sierra Boat tails with 46 grains of varget. My gun has a long chamber and I found that loading over Saami max length really helped with accuracy.

With yours being 1/12" and mine being 1/10" its kinda like comparing apples to oranges but figured I'd pass the info on anyways.

Happy Shooting!
