Looking for the most accurate bullet for 308, shoot up to 300m. I currently shoot 165 sierra bt game kings with 45.5 g of varget but looking for a little more accuracy. I am shooting a savage M10fp 308 it shoots just under 1 moa, thanks.

At that distance you may find that flat based bullets compare nicely to expensive BT match bullets. I've had good luck with plain ol' Hornady SP's...

Lapua GB432 185 grain bulets have set 300 metre records. Other Lapua bullets may also work well. Try different product, as that is what handloading is about.

The ne plus ultra of 308 bullets are the 155.5 gr Bergers, or the 155 gr Lapua Scenars depending on your religion.

Pretty well any decent .30 cal target bullet will work at 300. The Sierra 168 was developed for this purpose.

However, I agree with DrXenon. The Berger and Lapuas today are generally considered the finest, most consistently accurate bullets that money can buy. The two bullets mentioned are staples of Palma teams shooting at the World Championship level, where only the best of the best will suffice.

Late, but 150, 155 or 168 grain match bullet will do nicely. You will have to work up the load for your rifle though. Gamekings are good bullets, but they're hunting bullets.

If only shooting to 300 then you might find the 168 sierras or similar a little easier to tune than the longer VLD type bullets. But you gotta try them yourself to find out for sure.

I third that! I use Lapua brass with Berger 155.5gr, and have achieved very good results at the 300m mark.

I have tried every 155 gr bullet under the sun at 300 yards/m. All of them work very well but for some reason I found 155 Amax bullets to be outstanding at 300m. Better than Lapua, Berger's, SMK's (old Palma and new Palma) and Nosler's. I do use all the other above mentioned bullets for 500-1000 yards, but at 300m the Hornady's worked great in the barrel I have on right now and they are also the cheapest match bullet around.
