308 loads for 16" 308AR

Its time start load development for for a Bushmaster XM10.

I have been using some "el-cheapo" factory AE 150s through it with dismal results for accuracy. This ammo usually runs in the 4 to 5 inch groups. Even with the short barrel, I'm sure it can do better. I have a shelf full of Varget and Hornady 168 BTHP in the store room I was thinking of trying out.

Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.

46 grains varget under 155 grain SMK's seated to 2.80" TOL are holding .5 MOA out to 650 yards in a 16" LMT MWS can't see why the 168's would be much different.

Thanks. I dug up a few hundred 165 SST as well. I think I'll put together a few of each and try my luck.
