Just heard of this caliber today and I'm a sucker for obsolete stuff. I would consider getting one if anyone has good feedback on it. I reload so that might help too. Sounds like a crtridge that just didn't get the backing it deserved.

I like chamberings that are off the beaten path as well, but that one seems to have a longer negative column than positive. Even a 30-30AI is better given the availability of brass and rifles.

I see what you mean with the more that I read. I must admit though, there's something about rimmed rifle cartridges that really draws me in. Would love to have a .308ME in a Ruger No. 1.

My LGS was selling these on clearance at 6.95$/BX 20 Remington corelokt a year ago . Thats should give you some indication. Needless to say I bought every box and used it in a trade

My LGS had a Marlin 336 308ME few years back, after making sure dies, brass & bullets where available, I went and looked at rifle.
I bought the rifle. Came home and ordered dies, brass and bullets from various sites. Last I looked, Hornadys - #30396, 160gr FTX are available, -#30311, 140gr FM has been discontinued.
