.308 muzzle break on a 6.5?

Does it matter much about the diameter of the hole? Would a break made for a .308 work on a 6.5?

I would think you would loose eficiency with too large of an exit !

OP, you were right the first time. for a muzzle brake to be effective, there has to be very little clearance between the bullet diameter and the diameter of exit hole. Otherwise, the gas won't be redirected to the ports, which is how they work.
