I have the 7-08 and it's decent. But would go with 308 if I didn't hand load7-08 definately has an edge if you can custom load your own ammo. Recoil difference isn't significant.
If you don't reload there way more choices in 308 factory ammo

neither...if you're buying a long action rifle as all T3's are long actions.... you may as well get it in a long action cartridge.......I'd be comparing the 270 and the 30-06.

I'm assuming effective range is probably close between the two- up to 700 to 800 yards given the same rifle?
