Your dad knew what he was doing. he had a load that worked well in that rifle. nothing wrong with a compressed load.
You have specified a big temperature range. RL15 is double based and has temperature sensitivity. But other than that, an excellent powder.
Varget is the one to use if you want to develop a load that will work at all temperatures.
