Ok I would just like to focus on .308win...
What is the best round for deer hunting from a Tikka T3 hunter in this caliber.
I would guess 150 grains would be the logical choice for deer.
What is the difference between the winchester Supreme Elite XP3, the Ballistic Silvertips, and the Super-X ?

Most importantly what will be more effective ?
Thanks

if I was gonna go with a factory load for deer in a 308, Id first try the Hornady custom 165 gr Interlock btsp load.

Second would be the Winchester Supreme 168 gr Ballistic Silvertip, but be careful about shot angles with this load. Should be ok at 308 speeds though.

if moose were on the menu too, or elk/bear, Id look no further than the Federal premium 165 gr Triple Shock X load. A lil too pricey and not really needed for deer, although it'd work excellent.

Although not a premium round, the Super-X 180gr Silvertip works well on deer and moose, to 300 yds. My T3 .308 will group these consistently under 1" at 100yds, and under 2 " at 200yds. Federals work very well too.

x2 fot the SST/ interlock/interbond loads form Hornady,
Exceptional results on deer. Tiny entry, tiny exit, lungs mushed in between.

The difference between them is that diff. people get fooled into buying any of the three, the deer can't tell the difference, and they're no smarter or tougher than when all you could get were softpoints!! No its just the hunters are easier to fool with those fancy named bullets!

If you're not going to reload, you'll have to try a box of each to find the ammo that shoots best in your rifle. 150's will do for deer, but 165's tend to be more consistently accurate in the .308.
"...What is the difference between..." The construction of the bullet.

^^ What he said .........

And If your not going to reload for a while, I'd start with the .308 ammo that is MOST avilable in your area. Whatever you can get a walmart or crappy tire.i
