I am in the market for some small rifle primers 308 brass. As my AR days left me with a pile of Rem 7.5 and CCI 450's.

I have some starline but seems impossible to find more right now.

So looking at 500 of either Lapua or Peterson.

Which is the better way to go? Price is about the same.

Looking at longevity. The Peterson website makes them sound pretty good. But Lapua is pretty good too.

I've had limited Peterson, the Lapua I have had quite a bit, all good brass. - dan

I've been using the Laupa 308 small primer brass for about 4 years now in my F Class gun.
They've had at least 10 reloads now using BR-4s with no issues.

Coincidentally I started experimenting with 450s this weekend at a match in Nokomis.
I reduced my regular Varget charge from 43 to 42.5.
My loads maintained thier accuracy, won second place, and didn't loose an eye.

Never heard bad things about Peterson... but Lapua always gets my money

Speaking of Starline brass, Double Tap Sports Site sponsor accepts pre order for Starline, usually 3 months wait, I still have 500 pcs unused from 1K that I ordered last year. Since I am planning to get a 6.5 Lapua barrel thinking of getting the Small primer Lapua brass for my 308, then will only keep 1 size primer.
