This^^ especially if you decide to shoot heavy for cal at any point. I also recommend a kimber hunter for a nice hiking/truck gun due to the light weight and removable mag. Can also drop a further 8oz from the hunter stock with a few minutes of your time.
Thanks for all your input, I am going to stick with the 308 idea for my new rifle. Reloading components that I have for 308 vastly outweigh my 6.5 stuff, might as well use it up! If H4350 or H4831SC wasn't unobtainable in my area I might sway to 6.5 again but looking at all the Varget and H4895 I have, it only makes sense to stay with that.
I love the 6.5 I moved into an area where the critters are a bit bigger. 308 will be the next rifle. Good enough for plinking, better for critters with a little more energy.
