Who has done it? I don't want to hear about all the other choices, I know there are better bullets out there.
I have been crazy busy all summer and finally got to shoot my 9.3x62 today and it was all over the place. I think I have bedding issues.
So now I'm down to my .308 and 150 SST's or 165 Sierra gameking hollow points. I shot a cow elk a couple of years ago with the Sierras and was'nt impressed, they did'nt seemed to expand well.
I hit a milk jug at 370 yds with the SSTs and I used to shoot deer with them, so I have no worries about accuracy. Just wondering if anyone has actually shot elk with them and how they held up.
I will probably get to shoot at least once before I leave for elk on Sunday, so I don't have time to get anything else.
