Been pondering the last cupple of days on what bullet to reload... Im staying away from Lead...Shooting a Browning Mtn TI in .308

Im thinking Nosler Etip or Barns TTSX my overall leanth is 2.790" And case leanth is 2.015."

Running Winchester large Rifle primers..

the E tip 150 gr has an overall length of 1.293" the NEW 168gr E tip is 1.400"(but haven't even seen them in Canada yet).

I couldn't find any manual for Barns online?? except for this

Has anyone tried these Bullets in this caliber? or tried the E tip period?
New to reloading so Any Help or experience on the matter is welcome and appreciated thanks in advance.

Congratulations on coming on here and asking questions. You are new on here, but not sure how experienced you are on reloading. But here is some advice.
Quit worrying about overall length of your cartridge. You are loading, so you can make them any length you want. They should be loaded to work through the magazine and so the action will close on the loaded cartridge. The bullet has to be loaded far enough into the neck to hold the bullet securely. So, the length of your cartridge will fall between those two perameters, regardless of what bullet you are using.

Your magazine length is 2.790"? I usually seat out as far as I can safely, but if I was restricted to under 2.8", I'd look close at the 130TTSX, which won't use up as much powder space.

Non-lead bullets are usually quite a bit longer than lead bullets of the same weight.
