  • reduced load using 2400 & Herco good for plinking
  • powder charge weights from Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook
  • similar results with both powders
  • bullet ~28 cents each
  • should try to vary powder charge for tighter groups
  • vintage Hercules 2400 circa 1980's time to use it up⚠️

That bullet is jacketed, and distributed but actually not made by Campro. I have seen great accuracy (for a bulk FMJ) with CFE223, D4064 and BLC-2. I usually load to 2800fps from a 22" barrel and for whatever reason it seems to work very well across all my x51 rifles. My wife and I were blasting expired Campbell's soup cans laid on their side with only the bottom presenting at 150m not long ago. You almost have to try to miss with a 10x optic.

I have had terrible luck with these bullets in my savage 10. I just loaded a bunch with imr 4895 to use them up. They’re all over the target like 10 inch group at 100

I had read that somewhat often and it almost put me off trying for myself. I have no doubt about your experience but I am glad mine has been so good. Across 7 semi-autos I get under 2.5" without development. I can't complain.

I stop using Campro (224, 308) bullets except their 9mm pistol for minor load, their rifle bullets are not made for precision shooting. If your goal is under .400 moa or better then go with Berger, Lapua and Sierra

I been using them with varget and Cfe223 seems they work better with cfe223 loaded with 49grs of cfe223 with lapua brass and 210m feds primers get under 2inch in a savage 10tr 20 inch barrel mdt chassis and break. Same load in 150gr serria 1/2 matchking 1/2 no problem,

CamPro 147gr FMJ accuracy ok

  • loaded CamPro 147gr & Re15 @ ~2800 fps mv
  • first checked factory load rule out operator error ;)
  • CamPro 147gr FMJ groups ok good product ✔️

Nice shooting, I had little doubt you'd do fine. Nobody ever said the cheapest .30 bullet in Canada was match grade. From my own experience and apparently yours that doesn't mean they are junk.

Thanks these will do just fine 28 cents each intended purpose 100m & 200m silhouettes off hand shooting at cast bullet speeds cheap thrills & good practice. ;)
