I'd use a 30/06 only in a long action, mainly cuz it won't fit in a short action.I'd only buy a .308 in a short action gun. Otherwise, I'd use a .30-06.

the top one is a .30-06 thread but everything still applies. without rehashing the old .308 vs .30-06 argument theyre pretty much the same except that the .30-06 can handle slightly heavier bullets.

Says who? You mean to say that there is a .308 bullet that the 30-06 can push out the barrel and the .308 can not?![]()
